Accidents can happen and when they do, there is no better place to have your vehicle repaired than at Border Cars.  Remember as the insurance policy holder it is your choice where your car is repaired, not your insurer's, so from recovering your vehicle to managing your claim, whether it was your fault or not, we will look after you.  Our bodyshop managers, David Keddie at Dumfries and Hugh Dickson at Stranraer, along with our highly skilled Bodyshop Staff all have many years of experience and they will get your vehicle back on the road as quickly and efficiently as possible.  With expert knowledge and specialist equipment to carry out the best possible repairs, we work to the highest standards throughout the repair process.

If you are involved in an accident, stay calm and do not admit liability.  It is up to your insurance company to investigate and decide who was at fault.  If there has been an injury then by law, you must contact the police.  Even if there has been no injury, you may still want to call them if you are worried about the situation.

Exchange details with other parties involved, taking a note of their name, address, their vehicle's registration number, colour, make and model, the location of the accident and any other information such as a brief description of what happened. Making some notes straight away will help you recall the accident at a later date.
