The Job Role:

  • Meet targets, achieve optimum profitability selling new and used vehicles, promoting finance, insurance and accessory products.
  • Provide an exceptional customer service throughout the sales process so all customer expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Build a rapport with customers to identify and anticipate needs and proactively promote suitable vehicle features and benefits.
  • Process paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the motor industry, new models and recent news.

BORDER CARS CARLISLE - COMMERCIAL VEHICLE SALES EXECUTIVE

We are looking for an experienced sales executive, ideally with industry experience to join our group.  Based in Carlisle, and working with customers from Southwest Scotland, Ayrshire and Cumbria, you will be expected to travel to appointments, build relationships with new and existing clients and identify company’s vehicles requirements.  You need to be organised and driven to produce results, and be able to build outstanding customer relationships exceeding expectations in every element of the buying experience.  As well as concentrating on your own sales targets you will work as part of a first class team. A full UK driving license is required.

BORDER CARS CARLISLE – VEHICLE TECHNICIAN

 

Working in a busy workshop environment you will be required to carry out standard servicing, fault analysis, repairs on all types of vehicles, and PDI work on our franchise vehicles.  You will possess a relevant formal qualification as a minimum requirement for this role. This opportunity is ideal for an individual who is looking to progress their career within a franchised environment and has the desire and ability to work to and achieve targets and objectives.

Duties include:

  • To maintain a high level of efficiency (hours sold vs. hours attended).
  • To uphold company and manufacturer quality standards and ensure all work undertaken meets customer expectations. 
  • To ensure 100% compliance with our Vehicle Health Check process and that repair orders are written up correctly
  • To maintain your work area, tools and equipment to a high standard and ensure you understand and comply with all health and safety regulations and that customer vehicles are appropriately protected while in our care.
  • To maintain a high level of technical knowledge and ensure you are compliant with manufacturer training requirements.

BORDER CARS LILLYHALL – SHOWROOM HOST/RECEPTIONIST
 

As our showroom host and receptionist you will be responsible for making sure every customer enjoys a great experience when they come into our dealership.  Delivering friendly and efficient customer service creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere and we need you to be a natural, articulate, good with people and always happy to help.  

The Job Role

  • You are the first person our customers come into contact with. You will be responsible for the initial meeting and greeting of customers both in person and on the phone.
  • Directing our customers to the correct department and generally ensuring their dealership experience is an excellent and pleasurable one.
  • You will provide administrative support to all departments which means you must be organised, capable of working to deadlines and self-motivated.
  • Managing the showroom displays and ensuring that the front of house reception area is clean and tidy.
  • Serving refreshments and keeping the kitchen area tidy and restrooms tidy.

BORDER CARS LILLYHALL – ASSISTANT SALES MANAGER 

The Job Role

Assistant Sales Manager.  The successful candidate will help manage our sales process with constant coaching and customer interaction.  You will support all sales executives as they sell new and used vehicles (including commercials) and additional products.

 

This role is one of the most critical in our business and you must be driven and motivated with a passion for our products. At interview you must be able to demonstrate your ability to follow a defined sales process, achieve targets, maximise opportunities and profit, and prove that you understand customers.

 

Areas of responsibility

  • Help manage the day to day running of the office and cover for the Sales Manager when is he away from the business.
  • Offer vehicle finance to customers, providing them with a thorough explanation of the products.
  • Ensure that company, manufacturer and finance house procedures and reporting are adhered to.
  • Coach and develop team members to produce outstanding results.
