We are looking for an experienced sales executive, ideally with industry experience to join our group.  Based in Carlisle, and working with customers from Southwest Scotland, Ayrshire and Cumbria, you will be expected to travel to appointments, build relationships with new and existing clients and identify company’s vehicles requirements.  You need to be organised and driven to produce results, and be able to build outstanding customer relationships exceeding expectations in every element of the buying experience.  As well as concentrating on your own sales targets you will work as part of a first class team. A full UK driving license is required.

The Job Role:

  • Meet targets, achieve optimum profitability selling new and used vehicles, promoting finance, insurance and accessory products.
  • Provide an exceptional customer service throughout the sales process so all customer expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Build a rapport with customers to identify and anticipate needs and proactively promote suitable vehicle features and benefits.
  • Process paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.

BORDER CARS CARLISLE – VEHICLE TECHNICIAN

 

Working in a busy workshop environment you will be required to carry out standard servicing, fault analysis, repairs on all types of vehicles, and PDI work on our franchise vehicles.  You will possess a relevant formal qualification as a minimum requirement for this role. This opportunity is ideal for an individual who is looking to progress their career within a franchised environment and has the desire and ability to work to and achieve targets and objectives.

Duties include:

  • To maintain a high level of efficiency (hours sold vs. hours attended).
  • To uphold company and manufacturer quality standards and ensure all work undertaken meets customer expectations. 
  • To ensure 100% compliance with our Vehicle Health Check process and that repair orders are written up correctly
  • To maintain your work area, tools and equipment to a high standard and ensure you understand and comply with all health and safety regulations and that customer vehicles are appropriately protected while in our care.
  • To maintain a high level of technical knowledge and ensure you are compliant with manufacturer training requirements.

BORDER CARS DUMFRIES – GRAPHIC DESIGNER 

 

The Company

Border Cars is a multi-franchise Motor Dealer Group based in Dumfries, Carlisle, Workington, Stranraer and Ayr with a turnover of over £80 million and 300 staff.  The business trades out of seven main Motor Trade sites – two in Dumfries, two in Carlisle, one in Workington, one in Stranraer and one in Ayr, representing 8 vehicle franchises and 10 motorhomes franchises.

 

We require a Graphic Designer with Digital Experience to support the Group Marketing Manager.

  • Creating and producing a wide range of artwork including digital media, point of sale, adverts, leaflets, signage and animated web content.
  • Contributing ideas, thinking creatively and managing printed material from concept to reality.
  • Utilising franchise systems to update aspects of our websites.
  • Creating graphics involved with the company’s digital marketing strategy.
  • Liaising with external print companies regarding quotations.
  • Proof-reading to produce accurate and high quality work
  • Assisting in a range of marketing duties as and when required

The Candidate 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A qualification in graphic design or equivalent experience
  • A sound knowledge of Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe, Flash and HTML.
  • A creative flair and passion for web design
  • Knowledge of designing and implementing an intranet for in-house use
  • Commercial awareness
  • A genuine interest in the motor trade
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A valid UK driving licence.

The Company

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Paint Sprayer to join our dealership. Efficiency is essential and all work must be completed to the required standard first time, every time. You must be a team player who can produce a high quality of workmanship to meet the targets set for the bodyshop as a whole, and confident working with all types of vehicles and body types. You will be expected to work under your own initiative and contribute fully with daily tasks as required within a bodyshop environment.  

You will prepare vehicles to be sprayed, mix paint to ensure a perfect match and spray vehicles, checking on completion that there are no defects. You must have experience in water based paints.
