BORDER CARS AYR - EXPERIENCED CAR SALE EXECUTIVE

Border Cars Ayr is looking for an experienced, dynamic and highly motivated sales executive.

The candidate will have a successful track record in a professional sales environment and will be able to demonstrate high standards in presentation and qualification.

The role will involve prospecting to new and existing customers, qualifying, demonstrating and selling cars and commercial vehicles. You will also promote additional accessories, warranties, insurances and protection products and be required to meet targets, ensuring that the customer experience is second to none. You will be responsible for generating customer appointments and prospecting in order to maximise car sales in a challenging, target driven environment.

BORDER CARS AYR (BC MOTORHOMES) - WEEKEND SHOWROOM HOST/RECEPTIONIST

As our showroom host and receptionist you will be responsible for making sure every customer enjoys a great experience when they come into our dealership.  Delivering friendly and efficient customer service creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere and we need you to be natural, articulate, good with people and always happy to help.  

The Job Role

  • You are the first person our customers come into contact with. You will be responsible for the initial meeting and greeting of customers both in person and on the phone.

  • You will provide administrative support to all departments which means you must be organised, capable of working to deadlines and self-motivated.

BORDER CARS CARLISLE – VEHICLE TECHNICIAN

 

Working in a busy workshop environment you will be required to carry out standard servicing, fault analysis, repairs on all types of vehicles, and PDI work on our franchise vehicles.  You will possess a relevant formal qualification as a minimum requirement for this role. This opportunity is ideal for an individual who is looking to progress their career within a franchised environment and has the desire and ability to work to and achieve targets and objectives.

Duties include:

  • To maintain a high level of efficiency (hours sold vs. hours attended).
  • To uphold company and manufacturer quality standards and ensure all work undertaken meets customer expectations. 
  • To ensure 100% compliance with our Vehicle Health Check process and that repair orders are written up correctly

Border Cars is a multi-franchise Motor Dealer Group based in Dumfries, Carlisle, Workington, Stranraer and Ayr with a turnover of over £80 million and 300 staff.  The business trades out of seven main Motor Trade sites – two in Dumfries, two in Carlisle, one in Workington, one in Stranraer and one in Ayr, representing 8 vehicle franchises and 10 motorhomes franchises.

Our Dumfries site on Terregles Street wants to recruit an experienced parts advisor to join a busy multi franchise parts department.  The ideal candidate will be of smart appearance, computer literate, have an outgoing personality, a pleasant telephone manner, able to work on their own initiative and ready to become a key member of a hard working team.  A driving license and previous parts experience are essential.

You will be required to provide a professional parts sales and identification service to retail and trade customers. You will also be required to attend manufacturer specific training.  Duties include:

  • Assisting customers in selecting and purchasing parts.
  • Placing orders for parts.
  • Accessing appropriate systems to ascertain type and specification of parts.
  • Providing pricing and product information to customers.

BORDER CARS LILLYHALL – ASSISTANT SALES MANAGER 

The Job Role

Assistant Sales Manager.  The successful candidate will help manage our sales process with constant coaching and customer interaction.  You will support all sales executives as they sell new and used vehicles (including commercials) and additional products.

 

This role is one of the most critical in our business and you must be driven and motivated with a passion for our products. At interview you must be able to demonstrate your ability to follow a defined sales process, achieve targets, maximise opportunities and profit, and prove that you understand customers.

 

Areas of responsibility

  • Help manage the day to day running of the office and cover for the Sales Manager when is he away from the business.
  • Offer vehicle finance to customers, providing them with a thorough explanation of the products.
  • Ensure that company, manufacturer and finance house procedures and reporting are adhered to.
  • Coach and develop team members to produce outstanding results.
